On the afternoon of July 2, the 2019 Opening Ceremony of International Students at Zambia Dayu School was held at the JX5219 conference room on the second floor of No. 5 training hall. Jian Haoran, Deputy President of YRCTI, Yu Gang, Chief Accountant of Kafue Gorge Lower Hydropower Station Construction Bureau of Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd., Zhang Wenjing, Secretary of Youth League General Branch and Su Shaohong, Director of Zhengzhou Office attended the ceremony. The Heads of the Liaison and Cooperation Department and the Institute of International Education, and the international students of Zambia Dayu School in 2019 attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Ji Yao, Deputy Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department.

Jian Haoran welcomed the international students and expressed his gratitude to Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd. for its long-term support for the development of the University. He introduced the basic situation of YRCTI and the achievements made in the cultivation of international students. He hoped that international students would cherish the precious opportunity of studying in China to study hard and participate in more practices to fight for their dreams and contribute to the promotion of China-Africa friendship.

Yu Gang expressed his gratitude to YRCTI for its contribution to the cultivation of high-quality foreign skilled talents for local enterprises and hoped to continue to deepen the cooperation between the university and enterprises for cultivating more international technical and skilled talents. Wang Aiqin, Dean of the Institute of International Education introduced the teaching plan for international students. Kapanda, representative of overseas students, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity of studying in China provided by YRCTi and Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd. and said that he would cherish the learning opportunity and become a friendly ambassador between China and Zambia.

It was another important measure for boosting the internationalization of education of YRCTI that excellent local students came from Zambia Dayu School came to study in China. It would further expand the scope of overseas school running and deepen the school-enterprise cooperation.
