The 12th China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week with the theme of “deepening practical cooperation and sharing development achievements” was held from July 22 to 26 at the permanent site at Guian New Area. It was jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Guizhou Province. More than 2,400 guests and representatives from China, ASEAN and specially-invited partner countries attended the event. YRCTI representatives included Jian Haoran, Deputy President of YRCTI, and heads of the Liaison and Cooperation Department and the Institute of International Education.
At the 3rd Partnership Workshop of SEAMEO-China TVET Cultural Twinning Programme, the fruitful international school running achievements of YRCTI had attracted the attention of universities of ASEAN countries. After two days of discussion and exchange, YRCTI signed a memorandum of cooperation with 15 universities in ASEAN countries, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, and Cambodia, and reached several cooperation intentions in teacher training, teacher-student exchange, student internship and training as well as international student training.
The China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week further promoted the cooperation among China-ASEAN "double top 100" (top 100 colleges for industry-education integration, and top 100 colleges for innovation and entrepreneurship) colleges. YRCTI had deepened the friendship with ASEAN universities and expanded the breadth and depth of international exchange and cooperation by virtue of the participation in this activity, blazing a trail for shaping a new pattern of overseas school running program.
