The Vice President Yang Shiheng and his delegation of 10 people went to Northwestern Michigan College (NMC), the United States for a 10-day professional learning exchange from September 23 to October 2. Timothy J. Nelson, President of Northwestern Michigan College, Vice President Marguerite Cotto and other American personnel participated in the learning exchange activities.

Ten members of the delegation were divided into two groups, including survey and construction engineering, for conducting relevant professional learning and exchanges during their stay in the United States. The survey group visited the indoor training room of the marine technology specialty of NMC. Besides, they followed the students to learn the theory teaching of sonar detection and optical fiber detection and participated in distance teaching. In the classroom of Mr. Phil McCuien, the construction engineering team studied the roof construction of wooden structure houses, and learned the practice and experience of Mr. Brian Sweeney in intelligent teaching and his student assessment method.

During the exchange visit, President Timothy J. Nelson sent a congratulatory letter on the 90^th anniversary of the founding of YRCTI, and also signed the memorandum of understanding with our deputy president Yang Shiheng, which laid a good foundation for the promotion and follow-up implementation of relevant cooperation matters between the two parties. Both parties reached a consensus on further in-depth cooperation, including the co-construction of training rooms and strengthening mutual exchanges and visits among students and teachers. Besides, the willingness of carrying out more specialties and deeper cooperation was expressed by both parties. The visit achieved remarkable results, which exerted sound influence on promoting the internationalization of YRCTI and the international two-way flow of teachers and students.
