School Leaders Visited Overseas Students on the Eve of Spring Festival

The Spring Festival of 2020 is coming. On the morning of January 22, Deputy President Jian Haoran led a team to visit overseas students and sent them Chinese New Year wishes and holiday greetings.

Jian Haoran inspected the overseas students’ dormitory, meeting room, kitchen and dining room one by one, and talked with the overseas students, asking them about their life and studies in detail. Deputy President Jian told the students to keep themselves warm, combine work and rest, enhance safety awareness, pay attention to the safety of electricity in the dormitory, prevent diseases, and have a peaceful Chinese Year. He encouraged overseas students to experience more folk activities during the Spring Festival to feel and understand Chinese traditional culture. At last, Jian Haoran gave the students gifts and red envelopes for the New Year, and cooked dumplings with them. The warm and happy atmosphere made the students feel the festive and family-like warmth of the Chinese New Year in the cold winter.

Jian Haoran extended his cordial greetings to the overseas students’ management staff, expressed his gratitude for their hard work, and extended his best wishes for the Chinese New Year. He hoped that the staff on duty would perform their duties and well finish their work in ensuring the overseas students to have a happy and peaceful Chinese New Year.

Accompanied personnel included relevant persons from the Liaison and Cooperation Department, School of International Education and School of Business and Management.
