The third batch of 4 teachers from YRCTI went to Zambia Dayu School on March 1st to carry out the teaching work for two months. Among them, Zhao Xing’an, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office took responsible for the teaching management and specialties construction of Dayu School. Three professional teachers will carry out the teaching work of welding, electrician and surveying, including Wang Bingwei from School of Mechanical Engineering, Gao Cong from School of Electrical Engineering and Zhang Guihao from School of Surveying and Mapping Engineering.

On February 27, YRCTI held a discussion with the third batch of teachers to Zambia Dayu School. Wang Weidong, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, stressed the great significance of the task, and requested to enhance practical teaching and standardise the teaching materials based on the previous two-term teaching results, so as to promote the standardization construction of Dayu School. Vice President Jian Haoran praised four teachers’ dedication, and asked them to accomplish the teaching tasks earnestly and teach professional skills and operating procedures well. Li Jibin, Director of Liaison and Cooperation Department stressed the discipline of foreign affairs and precautions for exiting and entering the country. Teachers solemnly expressed that they would overcome the difficulties, unite as one, live up to the expectations of YRCTI and Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd., successfully complete the teaching work, and contribute to the construction of Dayu School.
Prior to this, the second batch of 3 teachers from YRCTI had completed the training task successfully and returned home. In this training, threes majors had been established, including electrician, measurement and welding, and 39 Zambia students have been enrolled. The professional teachers of YRCTI overcame difficulties of poor teaching conditions and equipment inadequacy, formed a teaching team together with the engineers of Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd., integrating the necessary professional knowledge and post skills of local employees of Zambia Kafue Gorge Lower Hydropower station project into talents training program. The teaching work was mainly based on practical teaching, supplemented by theoretical teaching. During this period, there were also some internships, collective activities and links of production and labor. Teachers follow the concept of educating people with teaching, management, service and production, cultivating the students in a comprehensive way. The three teachers were also praised by Zambia students and the leaders of Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd.
