On December 14, a delegation from Energy and Water Sector Education and Training Authority (EW SETA) of Higher Education and Training Department of South Africa, including Mpho Gift Thipe, Director-general of EW SETA of Higher Education and Training Department of South Africa, Deputy Director-general Ineeleng Melchizedek Mphogadi Molete, and Dr. Lu Zhilei, Director of Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center in South African, visited YRCTI to inspect the cultivation of the students of South Africa. Zhu Yuhua, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Principal of YRCTI, Vice President Jian Haoran and heads of Liaison and Cooperation Department, School of Water Conservancy and Engineering and other departments warmly welcomed the delegation.

Zhu Yuhua met with the delegation of South Africa delegation and introduced in detail the current development trend of water conservancy projects in China and the characteristics and advantages of majors related to water conservancy in YRCTI. She hoped that, based on the understanding of the current situation of water conservancy projects in South Africa, the two sides would further expand cooperation fields according to the needs of South Africa's water conservancy projects and the training characteristics of water conservancy related majors of YRCTI. After negotiation, both sides initially reached the intention to carry out all-round cooperation in talents cultivation and training, technical service, scientific R&D and other fields.Yi Haoran delivered a welcome speech at the symposium on the cultivation of South African students. He briefly introduced the basic situation of YRCTI and the achievements of running the school in recent years, and hoped that the two sides would carry out more cooperation in teacher training and scientific and technological cooperation on the basis of successfully running the program of cultivating South African students. Zhang Fang, one of the teachers participating in the international student program in South Africa, gave a detailed report on the study, life and practical training of South African students in YRCTI. The delegation expressed gratitude to YRCTI for the warm reception and spoke highly of South African students training work of YRCTI, hoping that this project could develop in the long term and promote the cooperation on industries and enterprises between China and South Africa.

During the visit, the delegation had a discussion with the representatives of South African students and went to Jianshui River Project for investigation and survey, where international students worked as interns. They inspected the Jianshui River project, and learned about the study, life, and internship conditions of international students.
