From July 25 to 30, the 11th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, co-sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, was held in Guiyang. With the theme of "A New Beginning for Education Cooperation, A New Future for Cultural Exchange", more than 800 people including diplomatic envoys, heads of international organizations, presidents and experts from ASEAN countries, Switzerland, Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries, scholars and more than 2,000 domestic guests attended the conference. YRCTI representatives included Vice President Yang Shiheng, heads of Liaison and Cooperation Department, School of Water Conservancy and Engineering, School of International Education and other departments, and teacher representatives.

YRCTI was invited to participate in the China-Cambodia and China-Thailand interschool exchange held in Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Water Resources and Hydropower. During the conference, YRCTI made a keynote speech entitled "Promoting International Exchange and Cooperation, Cultivating International Highly Skilled Talents", and shared YRCTI's successful cases of and experience in specialty construction, international exchange and foreign student training. YRCTI's outstanding international schooling philosophy and the work of cultivating international students have won high praise from Chinese and foreign guests.

At the “2nd Partnership Workshop for SEAMEO-China TVET Cultural Twinning Programme",the fruitful international school running achievements of YRCTI have attracted the attention of ASEAN countries. After two days of discussions and exchanges, YRCTI signed a memorandum of cooperation with 12 schools in ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, etc., and reached a number of cooperation intention in short-term teacher training, teacher-student exchange, student internship training, and foreign student training.

During the activity, representatives of YRCTI also observed the 1st Student Skills Competition of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, and participated in various activities such as China ASEAN Vocational Education Forum and Exhibition of Successful Cooperative Programs. After ten years of development, China ASEAN Education Exchange Week has become a platform with the biggest impact and the most practical cooperation achievements. Participating in Education Exchange Week activities has further broadened YRCTI’s channels for international exchanges and cooperation, innovated international cooperation models, and provided new ideas for YRCTI to form a multi-dimensional international development pattern.
